Top FIVE SS18/19 runway trends from the 2018 Telstra Perth Fashion Festival
With the conclusion of the 26 spectacular runway shows, that made up the 20th Anniversary Telstra Perth Fashion Festival, we reminisce and take a closer look at our top five trends we noticed on the runway, as we honoured the past, present and future of Australian fashion at this year's Fashion Paramount.
Pops of yellow were dotted throughout this years TPFF runway, we loved the yellow leather mini dresses and skirts, coupled with crisp whites and cobalt blues during the effortlessly cool runway event that was Aje Presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres.
The puff sleeves of the ‘80s were back and bigger than ever with a great new SS18/19 twist during the TPFF 2018 evening runway events. Exaggerated sleeves and puffy shoulder pieces which cuffed at the wrist were all the rage with both the up-and-coming student designers of Future Runway as well as the urban and coastal style of Aje.
You can never go wrong with sparkles and at this years shows we saw an abundance of sequins and glitter go down the runway. From the makeup by Artists@Play during Closing Night to the ‘70s inspired collection of Empire Rose, golds, rubies, platinums and emeralds shimmered under the lights of the River View Room during Fashion Paramount.
Wide Leg Pants
Wide leg silhouettes ruled the runway in almost all of the world class Fashion Paramount events at this years 2018 TPFF. The loose fitting cuts of the pants gave a comfortable yet elegant SS18/19 look.
Pastel pinks, blues, greens and oranges gave us Spring vibes during the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. From the sports luxe Fashion by emerging designer Hunter and Harris to the evening gowns by Morrison the pastel trend will never go out of style.
